I'm Madhavi Bakwad, an illustrator based in Pune, India.
I'm passionate about bringing authentic stories and characters to life and I believe in the transformative power of storytelling and art.
I'm interested in creating fun and engaging illustrations for children's picture books. And I also hold a special interest in helping children with special needs.
I love sketching in my sketchbook and I'm always learning new things. My digital work mimics traditional watercolours and gouache and is made using photoshop and Cintiq.
I'm drawn to all things nature - flowers and bees, elephants and tigers, leaves and barks, sun and moon, and everything else that our lovely planet is home to.
Currently I'm looking for representation.
